The Importance of the Bible in Theology
Razzinger Benedict wasn't a biblical scholar per se in the terms we've been used today but he was definitely a biblical theologian meaning one who incorporates and uses scripture heavily throughout his theologizing. A lot of people that taught him had with neo-scholasticism was it's lack of biblical reference they thought it was too much of a deductively rationalistic philosophical approach to religion.
