Penelope shuttles, evocation of the mythical leoness. Leoness actally means little lion. It pops up in authurian romances but it goes a long way back into myth and through processes we can only guess at it became. When this huge tract of land disappeared in this catastrophic inundation, that land was always, in myth and legend, referred to as leones.
