Was It a Brutality of Ranch Life That Shielded You?

My family had about ten thousand a s of land. My father raised a couple of thousand head of cattle. He farmed wheat, barley, alfalfa, many crops. And then my mam's roll was to keep the home. So i think mam did the best she couldbut in dad, i don't think there was any shielding us from any of it. I think he wanted us to be exposed to it ana way, see how real it is.
