The Advantages of Parallelism in Small Resource Constrained Environments
When the processor is not idling, it's using roughly the same amount of energy. And so, you might as well get as much done, rather than having it. So, when I deploy to a new farm or something like that, then I can choose the smallest virtual CPU on offer by my data center. That's less than one gig of memory. You feel good about that, that you've not had to scale up to this massive machine with seemingly infinite resources.
