How to Approach Horror With a Female Character

In approaching horror, especially with a female character, I feel a lot of appropriate attention needs to be paid to that the female experience of horror because so much of the tradition is the male experience of it. Fries: The pulling away from violence or the withholding of it actually is most frightening for an audience as they're watching. It's the waiting for something to happen that is far more frightening than something terrible actually happening.
