The Relationship Between Energy and Capitalism

Oil workers and miners in the past found themselves at the vanguard of such broad movements. More recently, including in your book, anti extract movements have found themselves boxed in and relatively marginalized while extraction workers are relatively powerless. What does this reveal about the role played by energy in particular, or maybe extraction more generally, incapitalism?
