Beth Foucault: I didn't know how to reject religion. Well, he wrote his doctoral dissertation on the Greek animists and he was always somewhat interested in materialism. But the young Hegelians were well on the way, you see, to a quite materialistic outlook that we can do so much. A photograph claim that man is full of all these wonderful glorious unfulfilled desires. Now, says for her, Beth, we must realize that this is merely the psychological mechanism of projection. Call back from the sky, that image of yourself and live on earth, really live it up.
