Action Research Is Participatory and Democratic
Action research is a participatory, democratic process that together you were towards addressing some sort of social change. I think it has to be a very bottom up approach where there's dialogue and you're talking about real issues. The power is democratically distributed so that the knowledge of the individuals who are working is part of the knowledge creation process. So you get at maybe other unlooked for or hidden facets of knowledge that would be missed if you were just an outsider sitting there observing.
