The Alchemist

The alchemist wakes up to find himself and his wife in a strange room. They are accused of murdering their neighbor, but how did they meet each other? To answer these questions we must first turn the clocks back 24 hours into the first place. We also need to know what your pet bird's name is because you might want to feed it right away.
