The Effects of Garden Chemicals on Bees

The US Forest Service reports that Diadege bees surround their nest entrance with a turret or a chimney, the purpose of which has long been debated. Some ground dwelling native bees like East Coast Minor bees and sand dwelling digger bees make little tunnels at the entrances of their birds. If you want to create a native habitat in your yard, one of the really positive things is you don't really need pesticides or herbicides.
