Is This What I'm Looking For?
I was about 24 years old, I was just about nine months into working at Gillette and I joined as a graduate in a Brown University liberal arts degree. By giving the summary upfront, I'm writing the interviewer basically, you know, condone the path I'm taking. If he doesn't agree with my interpretation, he can just stop me and say, actually, this is not what I'm looking for. Maybe something along these lines. And what I find with a lot of candidates is they go into a lot of detail and maybe midway through their talk, only realize they're going down the wrong path.
