On the pacific coast, you have really one of the, as i said, kind of an introduction, this very rich shoreline. Then you have these river systems that flow down from the andes that are also sensitive to precipitation happening n in the highlands. So so you have extreme environment, a contrast, and it's also a pretty sensitive environment because of the aridity of the coast line. It's one where human responses to the environment should be fairly visible in the archeological record.
