Killer whales teach each other many things and they are quite quick learners. For instance, the whole vocal repertoire is something that they learn from the family that they're in. The killer whales that I know best are the ones in the We didn't ward us population. They are primarily herring eaters.
Since 2020, orcas off the coast of Spain and Portugal have been ramming boats, biting rudders and, in a few cases, sinking entire vessels. Now it has been reported that a similar encounter has happened off Shetland.
