The Letter and the Spirit of the Law

The reason Jesus distills the law down to love God and neighbor is just to make it simple for you. And don't, and you don't need to go over here and like try to parse the whole thing out and figure out how to obey it perfectly. For the Christian, you've been set free and now you can just go nuts on loving and serving your neighbor. That is the, what Paul contrasts as the letter and the spirit of the law.
