i want to go through the four ways that contexts can lead students down paths of various understandings. Can can be non directive or even istractive. I have seen again and again adults, because they know the meaning of the word already, will point to something in the context and say, oh, but that helps you see what the word means. But if you are a student who does not already know themeaning of the word, you are not necessarily going to go to that helpful part of context.
