How Did the Royal College of Emergency Medicine Work That Out?
Between 300 and 500 people a week are dying as a consequence of the problems with urgent and emergency care. Evidence-based data shows that the longer you wait for admission to come into hospital, there is an increase in your risk of dying. But what we've got to remember is that behind every one of those access deaths, there's a story,. There's a mother, a father, a family friend. And for me to hear that, it's really difficult for our members who go home, who cry in their cars at night, and I kid you not, this is actually happening.
