I think Layla's one of the most striking points about Layla's review of Mary is to do with women's role in the revolution as it were. There are some very deep questions about what female time and male time looked like which probably can't really get into now. I think there are many women in particular questioning things like whether the sexual revolution which is now 60 years old was actually beneficial for women even though it's often presented with this sort of feminist or faux feminist sheen.
