The idea of opportunity cost is really useful in your work, because it can help you think about what you're actually giving up more than just or what you actually are facing as a trade off. So if you're choosing how to spend your time, you shouldn't just factor in what you're earning monetarily. It's not just the money part that you need to consider. If there's nothing else that you would rather spend all that time on, then you know that that thing should be one of your three intentions. This is a good way to make sure that the things you put on your intentions list are actually worth being there by considering the other alternate.
