The Differences Between OpenAI and DeepMind

DeepMind is owned by Google or Alphabet and OpenAI is largely, Microsoft is doing a lot of steering just because they have the money for the compute. And so Google hasn't really pushed DeepMind to be very profitable or really at all profitable. So yeah, I don't know. It's a good contrast and it does seem like maybe AI research is not the priority for IBM right now.
