The Happy Mondays were a group from Manchester in the late 80s, early 90s. They weren't a retro band at all. And they were basically a cross between sort of funk, punk, and a sort of weird acid house sort of acid house soul kind of feel. The lead singer of Happy Mondays was called Sean Ryder who couldn't sing very well.
