The High Wire Walk

In 19 81, work began on the south tower on amsterdam avenue. The high wire was strung 150 feet above amsterdam avenue to inaugurate work on the north tower. In two thousand eight there was a rededication and celebration in honor of the reopening of the entire length of the cathedral. It took many, many years for them to restore this area of the building.
