As part of the negotiations with Philip and Richard, Henry's been promised a list of all the Plantagenet Lords and Barons who have abandoned him. The first name on the list is someone he never would have dreamed could abandon him - his youngest son John. He can't believe John's betrayed him, now of all times. It's the final hummablow to his heart. Shortly after reading John'sname on the list, Henry sinks into a semi-conscious stupor.
