Bilbo has to think of a plan because he's realizing, ah, there are too many spiders they're going to lose. He tells the dwarves: I'm going to disappear and then I'll try to get the spiders to follow me again. So once again, he does it and the doors are shocked. They just saw him kill all those spiders. And he saves them all in a very heroic way, very heroically. No one else, just Bill Bo.
