A Spacecraft Nearly Flew By

The first asteroid close fly by by a spacecraft was this week in 1991 when the Galileo spacecraft flew by GASPRA. Check out the total lunar eclipse as the moon passes into the Earth's shadow and think about the profundity of being able to appreciate the three-dimensional nature of the Earth's moon system.
