The Role of the Cerebellum in Play
Play has been around with us evolutionarily longer than one might suspect. In vertebrates they sort of related to the basal ganglia, certain parts of the things in mid-dillon,. But there are quite a few brains and turns out the cerebellum is actually also very important in play behavior. The cortex was kind of some of the last, it was later in the evolutionary processes.
