The Birthright Boy
Reuben is jacob's first born. Why not make him the birthright boy? Well, we get one little hint back in genesis 35. It tells us in verse 22 that reuben went and lay with bilha, his father's concubine. We don't know of any action he took on the part, but we can see there a disqualification on reuben's part for the birthright. Simeon levite disqualified themselves from the birthright through unbridled passion,. Will that leaves judah, son of lea, or joseph, son of rachel?
