The Ego Is the Problem, You Know?

There's a kind of myth in buddhist circles that were supposed to get rid of the ego. So i have always take an issue with that, because i i know what it's like when you don't have an ego? Because that's what we call psychosis. The people who are really suffering from mental illness, they their ego has gone away, and you see what's left - so we all need our egos. And in a certain way, meditation, mindfulness, is an ego function. You know, where we're training are our minds how to observe ourselves. That's all ego.
