The Myth of Romance Overcomes Everything
"I think one of the great myths of our age is the romantic myth that love overcomes everything," he says. "We now take for granted in our society that the obvious way that you discern whom to marry is to whom do you have a romantic attraction? I'm all for romantic attraction and it should be there in marriage, but experience shows it so obviously not the primary point of discernment."
