The first thing you're doing is having somebody bring jewish wisdom into conversation with that initial text. There's a well known quote of rabbasmil, the early rabbinic sage, who said his students asked him, when are we allowed to learn greek wisdom? And rabba smile says, it says in the tora that you're supposed to think about it, vagita boyoman valala. So he says to his students, find me a time that's not day or not and not night, that’s when you can learn greek advice.
