The Importance of Writing Down the Law

Paul said that they had received the law not in tablets tables, tablets of stone, but in fleshly tablets of the heart. But since in process of time they made shipwreck, some with regard to doctrines, others as to life and manners, there was again need that they should put in the remembrance by the written word. So this is very remarkable, brothers and sisters. Why did they write it down? Because of our weakness, because of the fallen away, because of heresy. The people of God who lived in the spirit of God they passed, they didn't need to write it down. They wrote it down in order to be able to teach the people and protect them from heresy
