The Benefits of Fish Oil for Metabolic Health

Fish oil has shown consistent ability to lower triglycerides and blood pressure in people with metabolic syndrome. Fish oil reduces triglycerides by reducing the amount of triglyceride rich VLDL in the liver. And it likely reduces blood pressure by increasing nitric oxide production. Nitric oxide is a vasodilator, so it makes the blood vessels wider. It makes it easier for blood to flow through them.
