University and Status Games and the Status Game Side of It
I think the kind of stuff we've talked about so far like social media and for example you're standing in the playground very temporarily these are very like short time scale status games. I think it's probably worth thinking about the much more long time scale status game which are probably a lot more implicit because they're on such a long time scale. Things like getting a good job going to your university ultimately having a nice house is something that kids are taught to play from the age of six onwards. There's definitely a push especially in sort of hot box environments like university where you're sort of competing with your peers in lots of different ways often in meaningless games like getting top of the class or things
