The Importance of Grief in My Novel

The book was written for my mum who died a couple of years ago. I think if you have experienced bereavement, then your relationship to grief and kind of life and death inevitably changes enormously. This feels extremely much like my mum's book. And the book has to stand on its own two feet. All the millions of people who never met my mum have to work for them too. But for me, there is that element and that's very important.
