At one point, they were going to do King of New York at Universal. To all of us, New Jack City was the diet coke version of King of NYC. It's like the weak-ass fucking version, but nevertheless, right? But this is also one of those things where New Jack city was available to a lot more people. If you lived in Ohio in 1990, it might have been tough to see King of NY.
