I try and get effects that are sort of hypnotic in their kind of nature, but with the minimum amount of hypnosis or process from me. There's a few things that surprise me because they do, they sort of point to something happening beyond just kind of behavior. One thing is people sort of twitching and shaking. And then I did a thing on a TV show to find the most sort of successful person in the room who was then going to go on to assassinate somebody. Was it even a non-star for a good to happen? But what was interesting about it was that it didn't matter for the sake of this bit of the TV show, whether it worked or not

His TV show Derren Brown: Mind Control received immediate success after airing in 2000. His specials include Russian Roulette, Seance, The Heist, Hero at 30,000 Feet, How to Predict the Lottery, and Apocalypse. His live shows Something Wicked This Way Comes and Svengali have won him two Olivier Awards. He garnered the 2012 BAFTA for Best Entertainment for Derren Brown: The Experiments.
