In real life, billy jean and her friends faced upwards of 20 calls a day from the potter's home phone number. When they'd answer, jannel would either breathe or scream down the line. They were forced to take their phones off the hook just for a reprieve. Janel vehemently denied harassing any of her former friends, whom she took to referring as the mean girls. The court result proved their daughter was the innocent party and her tormentors were liars.
