The Tradition of Men, Traditions of Men
The paradesus tone anthropon is probably a reference to practices and traditions that began to develop at least during the inter testamental period. Do they, by definition, have nothing to do with the word of god, because they are traditions of men? Paul mentions, traditions of his fathers in galations, jesus mentions, oral traditions. The phrase can be used variously to refer to rabbinical traditions, and i think perhaps other kinds of traditions as well. Are they completely distinct from scripture? Typically they are contrasted with scripture. So this is what we know as the doctrine of depravity,. We are not as wicked as we can be, but that all faculties are profoundly corrupted
