When philip smith was dying in 16 84, the went looking for answers. The sole subject of the crime was an old woman named mary webster. Her fierce temper and stinging tongue had earned her a reputation as the town witch. A year earlier she had just gotten back from boston one year earlier. She had been there on trial for witchcraft. Maybe they thought they were finally done with her when she was taken away. I could only magine their surprise when she rode back into town a smile on her face and a fire in her belly.
