Harvard's Project Implicit suggests that when we relax our active efforts to be egalitarian, our implicit biases can lead to discriminatory behavior. The IAT Post-It Association Test did not survive the replication crisis. There are at least five problems with the test; associations between words and categories may simply be measuring familiar cultural or linguistic affiliations. For centuries, the arc of the moral universe has been bending toward justice as a result of changing people's explicit behaviors and beliefs.
