Prisoner's Voice Is Madder

The jip is an information group, in a very minimalist sense. They published grievances from each one of those uprisings and collected all of them as well. The aim was to replace the academic view of prison with prisoners' views on what needs to be done. And so there was reform in that sense. There are other strands. In some cases there was an insistence like, no, we need right to a radio. We do. It's part of the information activism. But i don't see not a contradiction between the minimalists who want abolition and the sum of the reforms that the jip worked toward.
