Cloud-Native Applications - The Four Layer Cake
Security is a four-layer cake for cloud-native workloads. From a compliance perspective, two things are important: mapping risks to the framework of compliance as it matters and level of materials. Supply chain attacks become extremely common these days; observability becomes an order of magnitude more difficult with containers compared to traditional applications. The ability to interactively observe your application by dropping an agent into your application was very language specific. Now you're no longer working in an engineering organization where you're either Java or Node.js. You're thinking my application's composed of 17 microservices. One of them is PythonOne of them is third party languages that did not exist before.
