In 20 15, australia signed a 66 billion dollar deal to buy submarines from the french. That deal is now cancelled. It's obviously a huge economic hit for the french defense industry and clearly a political hit for president mc Crawn. But i have to say, the reaction has been so, so over the top, almost comically over the top. The french foreign minister accused the us. Of lying, called it a stab in the back.
