The Debt Ceiling Deal and the Dems' Agreement to Freeze Spending

We are in a gravity well that is pulling at us to the tune of $1.5 trillion a year, and we're already unable to balance the budget. We are currently on track for a $2.2 trillion deficit this year. Mathematically, it is only possible to get out of this at this point in time if we were to radically cut spending or increase productivity. And you look at Washington, that's not happening. Nobody's cutting spending. The debt ceiling deal that they were fighting over amounted to nothing. There was no concessions shocking to do.
