Morgan County Sheriff Anna Franklin's $150,000 Investment in a Used Car Lot

Former Morgan County Sheriff Anna Franklin settled a lawsuit over jail food money. Prosecutors sued her to prevent her from personally keeping $55,000 of unspent and make meal money. The settlement was reached yesterday between Franklin, state and local prosecutors. In 2009 the sheriff's predecessor Greg Bartlett became known as Sheriff Corn Dog after it was discovered that he pocketed more than $200,000 in food funds while inmates ate corn dogs twice a day for weeks.
