The Return of the Mythosaur in Song of Ice and Fire

The sigil of all the Mandalorian people is the mythosaur skull. This is extremely reminiscent of dragon skulls, especially because they're presented right at the start of a Song of Ice and Fire as physical evidence of a time long gone when families with dragons ruled Valyria and then Westeros. We know more about dragons than we know about mythosaur's despite again it being a more technologically proficient environment where you would expect more history and study. It's just that the story hasn't taken us there yet. I suspect future seasons of the Mandalorian and or some of the other projects around it might expand on this knowledge,.
