Insurers say they support screening guidelines as laid out in the ACA. If insurers were required to fully cover tests for the other three cancers, they would almost certainly pass those costs along in the form of higher premiums. A forthcoming book pegs the cost of over-screening for various cancers at 21.5 billion dollars a year.
