The Father in Heaven Loves
The first thing Jesus has us do is a mental remodel of how we imagine God to be. The starting blocks of prayer is a right understanding of the character of God and his posture toward you. If your faith is in Christ, this is God's posture toward you: He's not angry with you. He's not distant from you. He loves you and he's for you. And I've been wrestling with this vision of God because of my experience in life right now. It's like literally I'm coming to teach you. We're doing year of prayer next year. Just don't leave our church before it happens.
