Is It a Bad Idea to Let the S&P Float?
If you've got all of your other financial goals covered I don't know why you wouldn't do other things but whether his goals are in place or not. If he's going to need this money to reach his goals, then put it into something that reliably over long periods reaches the goal. You gotta do the normal stuff and the smart stuff with that money, but if you've got extra, yellow, as they say. It seems pretty dire right now But I also don't think that it's a terrible idea to just let it sit there.
