Bempedoic Acid Lowers LDLs Exactly Like Azetamide and Statins
Bempedoic acid has also been FDA approved since 2020. It inhibits the synthesis of cholesterol so it works in the same pathway that statins do. The drug does not have these muscle-associated symptoms that have been reported in statins and what we can talk about whether some of the statin socially exaggerated effects are largely exaggerated.
