I put in a subject access request to number 10, found out that there'd been lots of talk about me being a persistent and vexatious journalist. I asked them how many WhatsApp messages have you saved to the Prime Minister? They refuse to tell me. And essentially, they've absolutely failed to show that they have saved one singular WhatsApp message in any time under the last five years. So I really believe that there is a potential that the Cabinet Office misled the cause in its claims of saving WhatsApp,. where they claim that they did so, but in reality it didn't.
